BEST Day #3 has come and gone. A day full of great moments!!
Bonnie Leone- Hallelujah Acre- opened the day. She spoke about the importance of maintaining and healthy mind and spirit. She made students aware of how important is to take care of your body. Ms. Leone challenged the students to develop healthy eating habits.
Kenneth Friday highlighted the importance of having a vision in life. Trace and follow a path to where you want to go.
Marcus Meeks- GWU Student and BEST Program Graduate- talked to the students about the value of the BEST Program. He mentioned the leadership skills the BEST provided to him.
After lunch, the students went back to work in their Business Models.

Team building Spirit!!..BEST DAY 2
Day # 2 of the BEST Program at Gardner-Webb University was loaded with fun activities, speakers and food!!!
Today the more than a 100 students in attendants began the day performing team building activities at the Broyhill Adventure Course in the Gardner-Webb University campus.
Mary Accor- Chair County Commissions explained how the Cleveland County Board of Commissioners is composed, operates and how public hearings are conducted.
Leah Berry- Vice President of Branch Administration for Alliance Bank highlighted the importance of a clean personal financial condition. Also talked about fraud prevention and how Alliance Bank assists customers with their financial needs.
Shelby Police Chief- Tandy Carty spoke about the value of an education and how taking right decisions in life is extremely important.
Michael and Eva Chen- Chens Restaurant Owner and Daughter spoke about the importance of having self pride in your actions. Also to value the importance of education and to always keep an open mind.
Others that spoke in today’s session included: Larry Curry and Jennifer McClurey. At the end of the session students spend time working on their projects
